Songs in A Minor is the debut studio album by American singer Alicia Keys, released on June 26, 2001, by J Records. The album’s producers include Alicia Keys, Clive Davis, and Jeff Robinson, among others.
In July 2001, the album reached No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. At the 44th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2002, it won Best R&B Album, while the hit single Fallin’ earned two awards, including Song of the Year. Alicia Keys also received Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best New Artist honors for her work on the record.
